Gas Gap runs entirely in your browser. The car, state and mileage you enter are used to do the math on your device and are never sent to us. We don't have accounts, we don't ask for your email, and we don't sell data.
Your browser may remember the last state you selected so the page opens the same way next time. That is stored locally on your device (localStorage) and can be cleared from your browser settings at any time. Nothing you type is transmitted to Gas Gap's servers.
Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and to keep the site running. These are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify you.
We may use privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. If we add a tool that uses cookies or tracks individuals, we will update this page and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Some links on Gas Gap go to partners (for example a fuel cashback app or an insurance comparison service). If you click one, that partner may set its own cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy. We receive a fee for some sign-ups; we never receive your personal details from the partner. See our affiliate disclosure.
The page loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those files from Google's servers. Google's privacy policy applies to those requests.
Gas Gap is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
